Alexa heads the Development department at The Electric Shadow Company. She is in charge of the creative development of projects from concept to delivery. Alexa began her media career at BBC Radio 4, working on the iconic factual programmes Start the Week and In Our Time. She started producing and developing shorts with John Jencks and Jay Taylor in 2005 and became Director of Development at The Electric Shadow Company in 2008. She now oversees a slate of 5 features there, working with new writing talent to establish original voices in British cinema. Alexa is currently taking the NFTS/Script Factory Diploma in Development and has a BA in Philosophy and Modern Languages from the University of Oxford.
