A summer's day in the countryside is disrupted by a young couple in their car having a lover's tiff. The girlfriend kicks her boyfriend out but he slyly steals their Doritos.
Lawrence's entry for the Doritos 'King of Ads' competition made the top 100 selection from over 2000 applicants.

Lucy is not getting the attention she craves from her boyfriend Dan but after an evening out at an animal hypnotist show, she becomes besotted with their dog Monty. Does this spell disaster for Lucy’s dignity or can Monty put the puppy love back into their relationship?

The female chef character originates from a Portuguese soap-opera and is played by the famous TV actress Rita Perreira.

'Cabo's Angels' features a famous trio of girls who represented the cable-TV service for over three years.

A candid camera commercial for a Portuguese mobile phone tariff 'Moche'.
2008, HDV, 30 seconds.
An unsuspecting passer-by is interviewed by the well known Portuguese comedian Joana Cruz about their mobile phone tariff. Shortly into the vox pop the girl being interviewed is moshed by over fifty people waiting in ambush wearing T-shirts branded with the 'Moche' logo.
The girl that was moshed had no idea it was going to happen!

This campaign made headline news in Portugal as the local scout federation weren't that amused by one of the characters.

A bag of Sical Coffee with its new easy-seal packaging is shared amongst neighbours.
This commercial for Sical also marked the 60 year anniversary of the brand.

A group of friends listen to the story of a surfer's lucky escape.

The boy in this advert tells the story of a surfer's near miss with a jet ski. It seems as though he witnessed the event in real life however the truth is that he saw it on a cable TV extreme sports channel.
TV Cabo - Big Wave is one of four commercials directed by Lawrence for this particular campaign.

A viral promo for the 'Winterwell' music festival.

This promotional viral for the Winterwell music festival was devised and put together by Lawrence Page. A lot of post-production was applied to the mini-dv footage to give it a colourful, summery, multi-format look.
The footage was shot by Richard Wood and it was edited in house at the Electric Shadow Company.
Lawrence loves filmmaking and has been working behind the camera for over ten years. He studied film at St. Martins College and New York University. Prior to directing he also worked as an art director, an editor and an assistant director.
Fluent in Portuguese as well as English he moved to Lisbon in 2004 where he directed a good number of commercials. He recently returned to the UK and joined The Electric Shadow Co as a director.
