John Jencks. 

CEO - John’s film career started in Los Angeles in 2003. His first role was as executive producer on ‘Lying’ starring Chloë Sevigny, which premiered at Cannes, and he has since raised finance for over 10 films with a presence at all the major film festivals. John is also a director. His award-winning debut feature ‘The Fold’, was released in UK cinemas in March 2014. His next project, ‘The Hippopotamus’, a British comedy adapted from the best-selling novel by Stephen Fry, had its theatrical release in 2017.



Jay Taylor.

MANAGING DIRECTORJay’s professional career began in 1996 in commercial production/post-production companies such as Glassworks and Stark. He transitioned to multimedia teen brand Popworld, producing over 200 programmes with musicians such as Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake. He subsequently assisted on productions for companies including The Weinstein Company and Working Title and set up The Electric Shadow Company with John Jencks and Alexa Seligman in 2008. Following the launch of ESF in February 2014, Jay serves as an executive or associate producer on many of the company’s investments. 



Sarah Laita.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT - Sarah was trained at the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, where she received Cum Laude for her Honours in Screenwriting. She was nominated for best director and best screenwriter at the graduation awards ceremony. Prior to this she received her BA in Political Science and English from the University of Stellenbosch. Sarah has been with the Electric Shadow Company since November 2015.
